“Playing in the Open Section at the recent 96th Aotearoa Māori Tennis Championships, it’s the most games I’ve lost in a very long time but the most enjoyable games I’ve had in a long time too, such amazing competition and nice to be competing against the younger generation. I really noticed the lovely manner of the younger players, not once did we hear a raised voice, a thrown racket, bad behaviour on court, it was such a revelation seeing the younger ones coming through with such amazing court etiquette and manners.”
“The Māori tennis community are the best in the country, everyone so welcoming and inclusive, it’s by far our favourite tournament.”
