Carl Jones (Ngāti Maniapoto) took out the 70-75 Mens Singles and Dinny Mohi (Te Arawa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) took out the 80+ Mens Singles at the 96th Aotearoa Māori Tennis Championships at Waikato Tennis Centre, 28 December 2022.
Carl is the grand nephew of Pei Te Hurinui Jones, and a former top NZ Axeman.
Dinny is a former long serving BOP & Māori All Black and also competed in wood chopping events.
