SALUATIONS TO MICHAEL VENUS AT WIMBLEDON

Michael Venus’s achievements at the just completed Wimbledon and becoming the first New Zealander to reach a Wimbledon final (in any discipline other than Juniors) since Chris Lewis reached the men’s singles final in 1983, are outstanding.

Losing a tough and close 5 set doubles final to Mike Bryan & Jack Sock of the USA, and losing the semi-finals of the Mixed Doubles to eventual winners Alexander Peya (Austria) and Nicole Melichar (USA) are “extraordinary “ Says; Kaumātua of Aotearoa Māori Tennis, Sir Tamati Reedy.

“Michael is a true role model for all New Zealanders to aspire to through hard work and dedication” and we all look forward to supporting him at the upcoming US Open in August/September and our own ASB Classic in January 2019.
